The 6 Healing Sounds:
A 4-Week Qigong Training for Emotional & Energetic Healing
In this 4-week online Qigong training, we will explore the transformative practice of the 6 Healing Sounds to support healing, balance, and energetic harmony.
Together, we will learn a movement-based 6 Healing Sounds practice as well as meditative methods for working with each sound internally. Throughout the training, we will explore the relationship between the sounds, the Five Elements, the organ systems, emotions, and the corresponding energy channels. As we work with each element, we will learn how to transform stagnant or excessive emotional patterns into their corresponding positive virtues.
Week 1 — Metal & Water
Metal Element — Lungs & Large Intestine
We will work with grief, sadness, rigidity, and letting go while cultivating courage, righteousness, inspiration, and openness.
Water Element — Kidneys & Bladder
We will explore fear, insecurity, and depletion while nourishing wisdom, gentleness, stillness, trust, and inner strength.
Week 2 — Wood & Fire
Wood Element — Liver & Gallbladder
We will transform anger, frustration, resentment, and stagnation into kindness, patience, vision, creativity, and healthy direction.
Fire Element — Heart & Small Intestine
We will work with impatience, restlessness, agitation, and overexcitement while cultivating joy, love, compassion, connection, and emotional clarity.
Week 3 — Earth & Fire
Earth Element — Spleen & Stomach
We will address worry, overthinking, anxiety, and mental heaviness while developing stability, trust, groundedness, nourishment, and compassion.
Fire Element — Pericardium & Triple Warmer
This week also includes practices for harmonizing the protective and regulatory aspects of the Fire element, helping transform emotional tension and energetic overwhelm into balance, relaxation, openness, and healthy energetic circulation.
Week 4 — Integration & Spirit Nourishment
In our final week, we will bring all of the practices together and focus on nourishing the spirit aspect of the organs, creating greater harmony between body, mind, emotions, and energy. We will learn how the positive virtues of each element can support emotional resilience, vitality, clarity, and spiritual development in daily life.
History Of The 6 Healing Sounds
The 6 Healing Sounds are an ancient Taoist Qigong practice that has been used for centuries to support physical health, emotional balance, and spiritual cultivation. Rooted in Traditional Chinese Medicine and Taoist internal alchemy, each sound is connected to a specific organ system and element within the Five Element theory. Practitioners use breath, sound, movement, and intention to help release excess heat, stagnant emotions, and energetic tension while cultivating the positive virtues associated with each organ system. Over time, the practice evolved into both seated meditation and movement-based forms that continue to be practiced throughout the world today.
